Early Life, Family Background, and Twin Dynamic
Cynthia was born on March 6, 1967, in Boston, Massachusetts, the same day as her sister Connie. Their parents are Edgar Allen Womack Jr., a physicist and energy company executive, and Linda Jane Womack.
When the twins were seven, the family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. Connie went on to attend E. C. Glass High School there and began performing in school theatre productions.
Because Cynthia and Connie are fraternal (non-identical) twins, they are genetically as similar as any two siblings. They grew up together but took notably different paths: Connie into acting, Cynthia into a career far from Hollywood.
